Sony’s startup acceleration program revealed this portable air conditioner “Reon Pocket”. It is easy to fit into a shirt’s pocket as well as can efficiently operate with a smartphone App.
The App offers easy access to turn this portable air conditioner on and off and control the temperature via Bluetooth.
On the other hand, providing you with a cooling effect in summer it also serves as a sort of heater keeping you warm in winter offering dual functionality. The gadget comes in the size of a wallet, which slides in the back of a specially designed shirt at the neck.
Sony’s official product site claimed that the company carried out hundreds of simulations on this gadget, making body temperature cool down by 55°F (13 degrees Celsius). As well as when it comes to providing warmth it can increase the body temperature up to 8 degrees Celsius.
In addition, this device supports both Android and IOS. The battery of this device lasts longer up to a maximum of 24 hours and requires only 2 hours to get fully charged. The method is available in two variations; Reon Pocket Standard and Reon Pocket Lite.
The standard version of the device is much more expensive as it makes users control the temperature and air volume manually. It weighs around about 85 grams, and the cost for a single shirt is about $130 to $140 USD.
The sad part about this amazing gadget is that for the time being, it is only launching in Japan. Reon Pocket will be shipped in March 2020 to various other regions of the world.
