Airwheel is Transparent and an incredible rideable luggage, simply load your stuff in the case and ride along, Just like an E-scooter it is powered by an electric motor with a rechargeable and easily swappable battery and motorcycle handle. The accelerator and brake are controlled by the buttons on the grip.
Aluminum alloy is used for the outer frame which makes it able to support the rider weighing up to 286 lb or 130 kg. The case’s wheels are 10 cm and designed to absorb shock handle bumps.
The company claims it is faster than other ride-on suitcases and is designed for both adults and kids to ride in a comfortable and natural position.
The case can get up to 6.2 mp/h at max speed with a battery that can last for an hour. The suitcase is equipped with a detachable and easily swappable battery that can also be used as a portable power bank with two USB ports for you to charge your phone and devices.
In terms of functionality as luggage, the weight of the luggage is 7.5 kg with a 28-liter capacity. and compact enough to fit in an overhead compartment.
Although the suitcase is transparent and everybody will be able to see your stuff, it also has a three-digit combination lock.
With a customizable lighting system, users can set up different colors of lights via the app. The company also claims the rideable luggage is TSA, FAA, and IATA compliant, There’s also a search mode to help you find the luggage if lost or stolen.
The Airwheel suitcase is presently being crowdfunded on Kickstarter, with a unit costing about US $459. the campaign has already reached its financing target and plans to start shipping in February 2023.
