The design teams from LEGO Technic and BMW teamed up to create an alternative model using the same 603 pieces found in typical LEGO Technic 2-in-1 kits. This new model called the Hover Ride Concept from BMW and LEGO, is packed with excitement and creative flair.

Instead of just leaving it as a LEGO model, the BMW Junior Company in Munich took things further by building a life-size version using real parts.

While the model utilizes the same LEGO pieces as the R 1200 GS Adventure, several components were custom-made for the project, such as modifying the front-wheel rim to function as a propeller.

This showcases the impressive craftsmanship of the young team involved.

Lego and BMW engineers were impressed with the futuristic model, that they made a life-sized version. Although the full-scale replica doesn’t hover, student engineers at BMW crafted it using parts from the original bike’s serial production.

Hoverbikes and hoverboards, once seen only in science fiction, are now becoming a reality as the demand for personal flying transportation grows.

You can get a Lego Technic BMW R 1200 GS Adventure kit with 603 parts to build a small version of the BMW R 1200 GS Adventure bike.

But here’s the fun part: you can also use the same kit to build something different and cooler—a futuristic hoverbike called the BMW Hover Ride Design Concept.

This unique creation will be displayed at Lego World in Copenhagen starting tomorrow, then it will travel to Denmark and ultimately to BMW’s headquarters in Munich.
